DCCLXXVII (777) is a sound collage, and was part of an installation entitled "Every Planet that We Reach is Dead", which also included the video installation "This Was an Obelisk" and the photo series "Lower Orbits".

It is composed of layered and modified field recordings taken in the seven main downtown Reno casinos- The Siena, Harrahs, The Cal-Neva, The Sands, The Eldorado, The Silver Legacy, and Circus Circus. The recordings were taken between 2:00 AM and 3:00 AM.
